Ques:- The three boxes 1,2,3 has values resp. AB,BC,AC Get 2A(B+C) +AC-2C(A-B)in Box 1 using only addition in 3 steps.
Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2020-05-17 12:02:03:

GIVEN: 2A(B+C)+AC-2C(A-B)
THEREFORE 2AB+2AC+AC-2AC+2BC
2AB+AC+2BC
2(AB+BC)+AC
LET b1=AB b2=BC b3=AC
STEP1: b1 = b1+b2
so b1 = AB+BC
THEREFORE
NOW: b1 = AB+BC b2 = BC b3 = AC
STEP 2: b3 = b1+b3
so b3 = AB+BC+AC
THEREFORE
NOW: b1 = AB+BC b2 = BC b3 = AB+BC+AC
STEP3:
NOW: b1 = b1+b3
so b1 = AB+BC+AB+BC+AC
=2(AB+BC)+ AC
AB BC AC
STEP1 AB+BC BC AC
STEP2 AC BC AB+BC+AC
STEP3 AB+BC+AB+BC+AC BC AB+BC+AC
i.e 2(AB+BC)+AC BC AB+BC+AC

Ques:- If a car starts from A towards B with some velocity due to some problem in the engine after travelling 30km.If the car goes with 4/5 th of its actuval velocity the car reaches B 45min later to the actual time. If the car engine fails ofter travelling 45km, the car reaches the destination B 36min late to the actual time , what is the initial velocity of car and what is the distance between A and B in km
Recent Answer : Added by DK BOSS On 2021-07-17 06:18:31:

Ans. let x is distance from A to B
and y is initial speed.
30/y+(x-30)5/4y -x/y = 3/4
=> 4x-12y=120 —-(1).
45/y + (x-45)5/4y -x/y=3/5
=> 5x-12y=225 ——-(2).
From equ (1) and equ (2) we will get.
x=25 and y=105
so initial speed is 25 km/hr
and Distance From A to B is 105 km

Ques:- Two trains of equal length when moving in opposite direction takes 5 sec. to cross each other completely and when moving in same direction takes 15 sec. Find the ratio of their speed.
Recent Answer : Added by Deven Sharma On 2023-05-31 18:18:48:

Let’s assume the length of each train is ‘L’ and the speeds of the two trains are ‘V₁’ and ‘V₂’ respectively.

When the trains are moving in the opposite direction, their relative speed is the sum of their individual speeds. The total distance they need to cover is the sum of their lengths. Since they cross each other completely in 5 seconds, we can set up the following equation:

(V₁ + V₂) × 5 = 2L

When the trains are moving in the same direction, their relative speed is the difference between their individual speeds. The total distance they need to cover is the difference between their lengths. Since they cross each other completely in 15 seconds, we can set up the following equation:

(V₁ – V₂) × 15 = 2L

Now, let’s solve these equations to find the ratio of their speeds.

From the first equation, we have:
(V₁ + V₂) × 5 = 2L
V₁ + V₂ = (2L) / 5

From the second equation, we have:
(V₁ – V₂) × 15 = 2L
V₁ – V₂ = (2L) / 15

Let’s add these two equations together:
V₁ + V₂ + V₁ – V₂ = (2L) / 5 + (2L) / 15
2V₁ = (6L + 2L) / 15
2V₁ = (8L) / 15
V₁ = (4L) / 15

So, the speed of the first train is (4L) / 15.

Now, let’s substitute this value back into the first equation to find V₂:
(4L) / 15 + V₂ = (2L) / 5
V₂ = (2L) / 5 – (4L) / 15
V₂ = (6L – 4L) / 15
V₂ = (2L) / 15

Therefore, the speed of the second train is (2L) / 15.

The ratio of their speeds is given by:
(V₁ / V₂) = ((4L) / 15) / ((2L) / 15)
(V₁ / V₂) = 4L / 2L
(V₁ / V₂) = 2

So, the ratio of their speeds is 2:1.

let the total work to be done =1
so a+b+c=1 (say)
then a and b are supposed to do 7/11 th of work
so c= 1- (7/11)
c=4/11
therefore c gets (4/11)*550
