Ques:- Ram was travailing back from his friend house in his old ambassador. He could only travel along at a steady 30 miles per hr and managed a paltry 20 miles per litere of fuel. At the start of the journey he has placed exactly 10 litre of fuel into a tank. He knew though that the fuel tank lost fuel at the rate of half a liter per hhour. As ram arrived home the car stopped because it had run out of a fuel and h only just made it. How far was his friends house from rams. a.200 b.150 3.210 d170
Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2020-05-17 12:04:12:

Ans 200
that he will lost 1.5 ltr in an hour
so he will lost that 10 ltr in 10/1.5=6.67hour
distance travelled in 6.67 hour is=30*6.67=200 km

Ques:- A 6 inch length cylindrical through hole is drilled through the center of sphere, what will be the remaining volume of sphere ?

In this question only one data is given ie., hole length - 6". In the question there is no mistake.
Find the answer.
Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2020-05-17 12:05:14:

volume of a sphere is 4/3 * pi * r^3
by drilling a hole 6 inches long the volume of the sphere is
not affected bcos the hole is a 1 dimension quantity..(say a
straight line) n so it does not have any value w.r.t volume…
hence the volume of the sphere does not change..

Ques:- A,B and C needs 8, 12 and 16 days respectively to finish a task. How many days will it take if A works for 2 days then B works on it until 25% of the job is left for C to do, and C completes the work?
Recent Answer : Added by Deven Sharma On 2023-05-31 18:36:37:

To solve this problem, we can break it down into steps:

Step 1: Determine the individual rates of work for A, B, and C.

If A needs 8 days to finish the task, then their work rate is 1/8 of the task per day.
If B needs 12 days to finish the task, then their work rate is 1/12 of the task per day.
If C needs 16 days to finish the task, then their work rate is 1/16 of the task per day.

Step 2: Calculate the combined work rate of A and B.

If A works for 2 days, their contribution will be 2 * (1/8) = 1/4 of the task completed.
If B works until 25% of the job is left for C, then they will complete 75% of the task.

Step 3: Calculate the time it takes for B to complete 75% of the task.

Since B’s work rate is 1/12 of the task per day, it will take B (75%)/(1/12) = 9 days to complete 75% of the task.

Step 4: Calculate the remaining work for C.

If B completes 75% of the task, then the remaining work for C is 100% – 75% = 25% of the task.

Step 5: Calculate the time it takes for C to complete the remaining work.

Since C’s work rate is 1/16 of the task per day, it will take C (25%)/(1/16) = 4 days to complete the remaining 25% of the task.

Step 6: Calculate the total time required.

A worked for 2 days, B worked for 9 days, and C worked for 4 days, totaling 2 + 9 + 4 = 15 days.

Therefore, it will take a total of 15 days for A to work for 2 days, B to work until 25% of the job is left, and C to complete the remaining work.

2a; 2a+2; 2a+4; 2a+6; 2a+8; 2a+10

t_2 + t_6 = 24 => 2a+2 + 2a + 10 = 24 => a = 3

therefore t_4 = 2(3) + 6 = 12

Ques:- The length of the base of a triangle is three times the height. The area of the triangle is 24 square inches. Find the length of the base of the triangle. (Area=1/2bh)
Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2020-05-17 12:05:17:

length of the base=3 times height
b=3h;
h=b/3;
so, 1/2bh=24
1/2b(b/3)=24
(b^2)/6=24
b^2=144
b=12

Ques:- A car is travelling at a uniform speed. The driver sees a milestone showing a 2-digit number. After travelling for an hour the driver sees another milestone with the same digits in reverse order. After another hour the driver sees another milestone containing the same two digits. What is the average speed of the driver.
Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2022-09-29 15:13:36:

Let 10’splace digit is x and unit’s place digit y

First milestone : 10x+y
Second milestone : 10y+x
Third milestone: 100x+y

Since the speed is uniform so
Distance covered in first Hr = Distance covered in Second Hr
(10y+x)-(10x+y) = (100x+y)-(10y+x)
After solving, we get —-> y=6x but since x and y are digits so only possible combination is x=1 and y=6,
So average speed = 45 KM/HR
