  1. there are 12 consequtive flags, 8 th flag can be passed by
    8 sec.
    so the time to cross one flag is =8/7 sec,
    remaining 4*8/7 = 32/7seconds.

  2. he start at the first flag and then he crosses the
    remaining 7 flags at 8secs.therefore his speed is
    8/7=1.14sec.so if his speed is constant then he will cross
    the remaining 4 flags at
    4*1.14 = 4.56secs

    Let the 1st flag 1 placed at the origin ….
    in crossing 8 flags he traveled 7 distances….
    s=d/t
    =7/8

    time for 4 flags t=(d/s)=4/(7/8)=(4*8)/7=4.5714285714285714285714285714286
