There are twelve consecutive flags at an equal interval of
distance. A man passes the 8th flag in 8 seconds. How many
more seconds will he take to pass the remaining 4 flags?
he start at the first flag and then he crosses the
remaining 7 flags at 8secs.therefore his speed is
8/7=1.14sec.so if his speed is constant then he will cross
the remaining 4 flags at
4*1.14 = 4.56secs
there are 12 consequtive flags, 8 th flag can be passed by
8 sec.
so the time to cross one flag is =8/7 sec,
remaining 4*8/7 = 32/7seconds.
he start at the first flag and then he crosses the
remaining 7 flags at 8secs.therefore his speed is
8/7=1.14sec.so if his speed is constant then he will cross
the remaining 4 flags at
4*1.14 = 4.56secs
This is more logical …
Let the 1st flag 1 placed at the origin ….
in crossing 8 flags he traveled 7 distances….
s=d/t
=7/8
time for 4 flags t=(d/s)=4/(7/8)=(4*8)/7=4.5714285714285714285714285714286
