Two numbers are in the ratio of 5:7. If 25 be subtracted from each, they are in the ratio of 35:59. Find the numbers?

   (x-25)/(y-25)=35/39
   59x=35y+600
   dividing b.t.s by y and substituting (x/y) value from equation (1)
   y=84
   Now, substitue y value in equation (1)
   x = 60
