A train 150 m long running at 72 kmph crosses a platform in 25 sec. What is the length of the platform?

1. convert speed to meter per sec=72000/3600=20m/s
   length of platform=x
   total distance=length of train + platform=150+x
   distance = speed * time
   x+150 = 20 * 25
   x+150 = 500
   x = 500 – 150
   x = 350
   so, length of platform is 350 m
